INTRODUCTION

Archangel Metatron is one of the most important angels in the hierarchy of heaven. He is a representative of a special group that is permitted to look at God’s countenance, meaning, “the Divine Countenance is the face of God,” which is an honor most angels do not share. In some literature, Metatron is referred to as, “the Prince of the Countenance.” I will try to be brief with this article today because it has so many twist and turns to the intricate details that I will simplify its interpretation to a minimum. Metatron is one of two archangels who once walked upon Earth as a human man. Metatron was the prophet and scribe Enoch, who ascended after his exemplary Earth Life. ^[3]During the life of Enoch, it is written that he was a man of spiritual and virtuous standing, he was a scribe and leader of his people.

THE GREAT CALAMITY

In the Book of Enoch, there were Watchers “Holy Ones” meaning wakeful, awake, in Ancient Greek interpretation, these Watchers, “fell,” after they became “enamored” meaning, captivated, smitten, infatuated, hooked, or attracted to” with human women and having intercourse with them. ^[1]The descendants of these unions, and the knowledge they were given, corrupted human beings and the earth. “^[1]The well-known angel among them were Shemyaza and Azazel, who were depicted as the leaders of a band of rebellious ‘holy ones’ Shemyaza, was one of the rebels of the sons of God called the Watchers.

“^[1]Azazel was the one who introduced the men to forbidden arts and Azazel was rebuked by Enoch himself for illicit instructions. God sent the Archangel Raphael to chain Azazel in the desert Dudael as punishment. “^[1] Dudael is said to be the location of the prison of all the fallen angels, especially the evil Watchers, the entrance of which is located to the east of Jerusalem. The way this place is described, Dudael, is said to be considered as a region of the underworld. In addition, Azazel is accused of the corruption of earth. “^[1]All the earth has been corrupted by the effects of the teachings of Azazyel. To him therefore ascribe the whole crime.”

ENOCH OBSERVES THE HEAVENLY REALM

The Book of Enoch describes Enoch’s ascent into the different levels of Heaven. He was finally ready and suited for an important passage. One night, Enoch was visited by two angelic beings who woke him up and commanded him to prepare to take a journey. “^[1]They took him on their wings as they visited all of Heaven and its inhabitants, they even visited Paradise and a place of punishment and torture of the sinners. He observed the appearance of a burning fire, receptacles of light and of thunder at the extremities of the place, a sword of fire, and every species of lightning. Elevating him more he observed babbling streams, fire in the west he could see the sun setting. He came upon a river of fire, flowing like water and emptied itself into the great sea westwards. He could see every large river, until he arrived at the great darkness. He went to where all the flesh migrated and beheld the mountains of the gloom which constitutes winter, and the place from which issues the water in every abyss.

ENOCH’S SUCCESS WITH THE IMPRISONED ANGELS

“^[1]Throughout his passage, he encounters the fallen angels imprisoned in the second Heaven. Enoch begins to pray but he decides not to as he felt he was not worthy to pray for angels. Ascending into the 5^th level of Heaven, Enoch meets other rebellious angels, called Grigori, which meant remaining in grief, not joining the heavenly hosts in song. “^[1]Enoch shares his stories about prayers for their fellow angels in an effort to enlighten the angels and forthwith they join the heavenly liturgy. “^[1] He succeeded in bringing the angels closer to God. Once the journey was completed, the great Archangels Gabriel and Michael lead Enoch straight to God’s Throne!

ENOCH’S VISITATION WITH GOD

While Enoch was seated at the Throne of God, Enoch was given instruction in wisdom. Enoch’s skills as a scribe prepared the way for three hundred and sixty-six books. When he learned all there was to learn, an important occurrence happened. God had revealed to Enoch great secrets, secrets that not even the angels were told. God shared with him secrets about Creation, the duration of time the world will survive, and what will happen after its demise. Once Enoch’s visitation was over, he returned to earth for a short time, to give instruction to his people, including his son’s, about all he had learned.

ENOCH’S TRANSFORMATION INTO ARCHANGEL METATRON

Once thirty days had come, the angels returned him to Heaven. Once this transition was completed, Enoch’s wisdom and spiritual merits elevated extensively and became equal to that of the earth also. God bestowed thirty-six wings to his body, and gave him three hundred and sixty-five eyes, each as bright as the sun. Enoch’s entire body transformed into celestial fire – flesh, veins, bones, hair, all converted into glorious flames. Flashes, Flickers, Glows, and Sparkles emanated from him, and storms, whirlwind, and thunder encircled his form. The angels robed him in magnificent garments, including a crown, and arranged his throne. A heavenly herald announcer proclaimed that from then on his name would no longer be Enoch, but Metatron, and that all the Angelic Host must obey him, as second only to God.

THE BIBLE’S DEPICTION OF THIS EVENT

Genesis 5:24 states, “²Enoch worshipped in truth before the Lord, and behold he was not with the inhabitants of the earth because he was taken away and he ascended to the firmament at the command of the Lord, and he was called Metatron, the Great Scribe.” I was curious to know more as I am always fascinated to learn of these great beings.

THE BABYLONIAN TALMUDIC VIEWS FROM RABBI ELISHA BEN ABUYA

The accounts in the Talmudic materials gives greater details explaining the scribal duties and the office of the scribe. In the Babylonian Talmud, where the second-century Rabbi Elisha Ben Abuya, who was known as Ah9er, was granted permission to see Metatron sitting and writing down the merits of Israel.

This passage is found in b. H9ag:15 states:

Aher cut down the shoots. About him Scripture says, ‘Do not give your mouth to bring your flesh into guilt’ (Eccl 5:6). What does it mean? He saw Metatron, that authority was given to him to sit [and] to write the merits of Israel. He said, “It is taught that on high there is no sitting and no contention and “²no backs” and no weariness. Perhaps heaven forbid there are two powers.” They took away Metatron and they struck him with sixty rings of fire. They said to him, “What is the reason when you saw him that you did not stand up before him?” Authority was given to him to rub out the merits of Aher. A bat kol came forth and said, “‘Return you backsliding children’ (Jer 3:22) except Aher.” (²Rashi; Jastrow, Dictionary, 1059 states that “no backs” means that everything is in sight.”)

The importance in this account is that the scribal undertakings of Metatron are connected with his duty to write down the merits of Israel. His scribal responsibility with the duty of a recorder (or remover in the case of Ah9er) of human merits evokes the complex description of Enoch’s scribal office which, if you can recount does encompasses the function of the witness of the divine judgment. This made Elisha suspect that two equal powers operated in the universe also, that being of God and Metatron. The myth continues to explain that he made a false assumption, which cost Elisha his position within the Jewish community. According to these scholars, God permitted Metatron to sit because, as God’s scribe, he recorded the good deeds of the Nation of Israel. Metatron’s heavenly mission as scribe, record keeper, advocate, preserving and protecting the Nation of Israel in the Heavenly courts is his quest.

[4]Archangel Metatron utilizes the Merkabah cube for healing and clearing away lower energies. The cube spins clockwise and uses centrifugal force to push away unwanted energy residue. You can call upon Metatron and his healing cube to clear you. His aura coloring is deep pink and dark green.

ARCHANGEL METATRON’S QUALITIES

Archangel Metatron teaches esoteric wisdom to children and adults. ^[5]If you feel drawn to help children albeit your own children or other children in general, ask Beloved Metatron for an assignment that mirrors your natural talents and interest. Metatron works closely with children who are intuitive and sensitive, and he loves to assist individuals in helping these gifted children. Those individuals who take on this interest and need assistance from Metatron, in the areas of time, money, ideas, contacts, or other support for this mission, call upon Metatron. He’ll help you manifest your needs so your focus can be directed toward his beloved Crystal and Indigo Children.

Metatron’s aura is a beautiful violet color and sea foam-green stripes. The crystal aligned with Metatron’s energy is watermelon tourmaline. Metatron is a ruler of the Seraphim. He is known to most as the Super Angel as he assist humanity in connecting to the Divine. During your invocations, use your decrees to invoke Metatron and see him as a blazing pillar of fire. Once invoked, Metatron appears as a pillar of fire, as bright and luminous as the sun. Metatron is the creator and the librarian of the Akashic Records. Metatron has assisted us by his wisdom through the ages and especially through the current time of the great shift and transition for our planet into a higher state of consciousness. Metatron is the writer of truth and gives inspiration and knowledge to humans. This angel is associated with the Shekinah discussed yesterday. (Metatron is the male aspect, Shekinah is the female aspect.)

PRAYER TO ARCHANGEL METATRON:

Beloved mighty, victorious Presence of God “I AM,” in me, the source that is anchored within each of our hearts, we love and adore you. We acknowledge you to be the owner and giver of all life, our intelligence, our substance, our all! We call on beloved Archangel Metatron and on all the Ascended Beings to encircle us with your divine love. We extend our love and gratitude to Archangel Metatron to be our advocate in this life, to bring out our spiritual gifts of organization, administration, orderliness, structure, and overall control of our lives each day, to heal our body temples, and bring forth our heart’s desires through manifest works and victorious accomplishments. Help us to clear away all negative and lower vibrational energies that seem to hinder our growth or that keeps us from moving forward. Clear, Clear, Clear the pathway this day. Clear, Clear, Clear the pathway today, Clear, Clear, Clear the pathway to stay, and bring forth Divine Love and Light to generate our four lower bodies into higher vibratory actions and waves that stimulate us into complete authority and dominion over our body temple now. Help us to reunite all religions into the pathway of Light as we declare total unity throughout the nation of Israel and the rest of the world today. Help us to utilize our Mer ka bah to bring all nations together in total cooperation and oneness of the Divine as we start the healing process for all nations. Blaze the violet consuming flame around the communities, nations, and throughout the world. Blaze your violet light over our body temples, our hearts and minds, Blaze through our loved ones, communities, and the nation, Blaze through the entire world your light to help us become the master over our divine life and plan for humanity. Seal us in your light and love and power of victorious accomplishment. Guard and protect us, guide and direct us, and give us the fiery illumination of justice that shall set us free! It is done! Almighty I AM!
